What is future cinema? This is a question the film industry raises again whenever a new technological cycle arrives. During the Cannes Film Festival, RWM responded to this question through a reality-narrative framework.

Traditionally, cinema is an art that tells stories through images. It organizes reality through the camera, reconstructs time through editing, conveys emotion through performance, and ultimately meets audiences through the screen. But in the AI era, the way cinema is organized is being reopened.

The reality-narrative framework proposed by RWM responds precisely to this change.

It attempts to move cinema beyond image-based narrative alone, allowing characters, relationships, emotions, and events in real-world space to participate in narrative together. AI assumes a role of connection and coordination within this process. It can help the system understand live conditions, assess emotional changes, coordinate story nodes, and allow different roles and spatial devices to interact.

This framework transforms cinema from a single work into a system operating in reality. Audiences do not only watch a story; they enter an organized world. Actors do not only portray characters; they advance relationships on site. Space does not only carry scenery; it becomes an important part of narrative occurrence.

The significance of RWM is that it moves the question of future cinema from “how images can become more advanced” to “how reality can become narrative.”

As image production becomes increasingly easy, the truly scarce value of cinema may no longer be the image itself, but a world that people can enter, believe in, become emotionally invested in, and form relationships within. RWM attempts to establish such a world through a systemic approach.
